London of Dr Joseph William Mellor ---  he was 63 years of age  ---  came to New Zealand when he was 10 or 11 years old  returned to England when 
he won an 1851 Exhibition -------- born at Huddersfield,  England --------  survived by widow and a sister  Miss N.H. Mellor  of Dunedin -----

---  of Kaikoura,  Mrs Annie Hamilton,   widow of Captain Robert Hamilton,   who was in her 96th year,   arrived in New Zealand  by the John Templar
in 1856   -----  she was the last of the 1st generation of Kaikoura residents ----  survived by 3 daughters -------    and 4 sons -------
